What we clean
Bedrooms
We clean fitted bedroom carpets, including the exposed floor beside beds and wardrobes. Tell us about marks you want us to look at and which furniture will stay in the room.
Living rooms
We clean the living-room carpet, paying attention to dirt near the doors and around seating. The floor beneath fixed or heavy furniture may remain covered. Let us know if you want help moving particular pieces.
Halls and corridors
We clean hallway and corridor carpets, including the dirt carried in through the entrance. We work along the carpeted floor and the edges we can reach. Separate doormats can be added to your enquiry.
Stairs and landings
We clean carpeted stair treads and landings as well as rooms. Tell us how many steps there are and whether you want the landing and hallway included in the same visit.
Connected rooms
We clean the carpet through connected rooms, including the space between them and the floor around fixed furniture. Tell us whether you want both rooms included or only one section.
Dining areas
We clean carpet in dining rooms and around dining tables, including visible crumbs and food or drink marks. Please clear loose belongings from the floor and say which chairs or other furniture can be moved before the appointment.
Home offices
We clean carpet in home offices as well as bedrooms and living rooms. The open floor around a desk can be included without moving computer equipment. Please keep loose cables and papers off the areas you want cleaned.

The carpet material and its existing condition
What we check
Why it matters
Carpet labels
A label or the original purchase details can help identify the carpet. Show us any information you have. We also look at its current condition before deciding how to clean it.
Different fibres
Carpets are made from different fibres and do not all respond in the same way. We take the material into account when discussing cleaning, including any care instructions supplied with the carpet.
Loose edges and seams
Tell us about loose carpet edges, open seams or damaged areas before the visit. We can explain how those problems affect cleaning. Re-fitting the carpet and repairing it are separate jobs.

What we check
Why it matters
Previous cleaning
If a mark has already been treated, tell us what was used and whether its appearance changed. This helps us understand what is on the carpet before we consider further cleaning.
Worn patches
We look for worn patches before cleaning and explain what may remain visible. Dirt can be cleaned away, but missing pile and lost colour cannot be replaced by cleaning. This is particularly noticeable along a heavily used walking path.

Mark or area
What to know
Spilt food and drink
Point out food and drink spills when you contact us. A photograph helps show the mark and the surrounding carpet. We assess the stain without promising that every spill will disappear.
Dirt near doors
We work on the dirt around doors and along the paths used most often. These areas may need more attention than the rest of the room. Worn fibres can still look different once the dirt has been cleaned away.
Paths through the room
Regularly walked areas can show both dirt and wear. We clean the carpet and explain the difference between those conditions. A well-used path may still look different where the fibres are worn.
Marks under furniture
Moving furniture can reveal marks that were hidden for a long time. Include photographs if you have already cleared the room. We can then discuss those marks along with the rest of the carpet.
Unidentified marks
Tell us if you do not know what caused the stain, and mention anything already applied. We will look at the mark and carpet before explaining what cleaning may help.
Pet-related marks
We look at pet-related marks and ask what happened and what has already been tried. Liquid can spread below the visible patch, so we explain likely improvement and any extra stain work.
We check the rooms and stairs you have asked us to clean. Show us particular marks, damaged areas and any belongings that need care before the cleaning work starts.
Choosing how to clean
We check the carpet fibres and condition before choosing the cleaning. Wool, mixed fibres and delicate coverings need different care. Share any label or supplier instructions you have, especially if the carpet has had problems after earlier treatment.
Cleaning the floor
We work over the carpeted areas booked for cleaning, paying attention to the dirty patches discussed with you. We clean the floor that can be reached around the furniture and explain any part we cannot get to.
Working around furniture
We explain which parts of the carpet can be reached around the furniture. Heavy or fixed items can leave some floor inaccessible. Please ask about moving items before the appointment.
Checking the result
We look over the completed areas and discuss any marks or wear that remain. If you have a question, point out the particular place so we can talk about that carpet.
Edges of the room
We clean the carpet edges that can be reached beside the walls and furniture. A fitted wardrobe or heavy bed may cover part of the floor. Point out any dusty edge or dark line you especially want us to examine.

A few details that help us clean your rooms
Before we arrive
How you can help
Small belongings
Please tell us which rooms will be clear and which are still in use. Removing small personal items from the floor helps us reach the carpet without handling your possessions.
Large furniture
Let us know about beds, cabinets or other large pieces that will stay in place. Do not assume heavy furniture moving is included. We can discuss the exposed carpet around it.
Your main concerns
Tell us which marks or rooms matter most to you. A clear photograph of the room and a close view of a stain are more helpful than a close-up alone.
Getting into the home
Give us the full postcode, the correct entrance and any separate flat number. Let us know who will open the door and if there is anything we should know about getting in.
Using the room
If the carpeted room is needed for an event or a move, mention it when booking. Drying depends on the carpet, the cleaning and the conditions in the home.

Drying, appearance and questions about the finished work
After cleaning
What to expect
Drying
There is no single drying time that suits every carpet and home. Ask us about using the rooms afterwards, particularly if you need them for a fixed event or move.
Furniture impressions
Impressions left by furniture are not the same as dirt. They may remain visible after cleaning. We can explain what we find when looking at the carpet with you.
Existing colour loss
Cleaning removes dirt but cannot replace colour lost through fading or earlier damage. We point out those areas so you know why they may still look different after the clean.
Further cleaning questions
If something concerns you afterwards, tell us which room and where the mark is. A current photograph helps us discuss it without confusing it with another part of the home.
Other textiles
You can also ask about rugs and upholstery. These are separate services because the items and materials differ. Tell us what else needs cleaning before the visit is arranged.

Details
Loose rugs
A rug is a separate item from fitted carpet. Tell us its size, material and condition if you want it cleaned too. Collection, repairs and any special treatment need to be discussed.
Sofas and chairs
We also offer upholstery cleaning. Send photographs of the furniture and its care labels so we can discuss the right service. A carpet-cleaning price does not include every fabric item in the room.
Stain protection
Ask about protection before the appointment if you want it added. It is separate from cleaning and needs to suit the carpet. Protection is not a guarantee against every future stain.
Repairs
Cleaning does not include stretching loose carpet, repairing seams or replacing damaged flooring. Tell us about those problems when enquiring so the cleaner knows what to expect on arrival.
Requesting a quote
Call or send your postcode, room sizes and photographs. Include the stairs and any other items you want us to consider. We will explain the price before arranging a suitable visit.
