Detergents and equipmentThe standard rate includes detergents and equipment for the cleaning. We list the rooms and extra work in your quote, so you can see which kitchen, bathroom and floor cleaning is included before the appointment.
Waste and repairsBuilding waste clearance and repairs are separate jobs. Tell us about rubble, leftover materials or damaged fittings when asking for a quote, so removing those items is not confused with cleaning the completed rooms.
Final totalWe confirm the rooms, cleaning tasks, any applicable minimum and the final booking total before the visit. Add extra rooms or residue removal when requesting your quote, rather than waiting until the team arrives.

ROOMS AND SURFACES

Cleaning after your renovation.

After Builders Cleaning — cleaning scope
Dust, room cleaning and building marks
TaskOur work
Construction dustWe remove settled construction dust from the ledges, fittings and surfaces included in your clean. We also attend to the details affected by the completed building work, including dusty corners and edges within each room.
Rooms & floorsWe clean the kitchens, bathrooms and floors listed for the visit once the building work is finished. The room list tells us which fittings and floor areas need attention, including rooms that collected dust while work happened nearby.
ResiduesWe look at visible building marks and the finish beneath them before discussing removal. Paint, adhesive and other residues need more information than ordinary dust; photographs and the installer’s care notes help us check what can be cleaned.
Cleaning new finishes and dusty rooms
Part of the jobHow we clean it
Settled construction dustWe clear settled dust from the room’s ledges, fittings, doors and floor edges. We include the dusty details you have shown us, including surfaces outside the main renovation room. Furniture and leftover materials can cover these areas, so we check which parts will be clear when cleaning begins.
Fresh finishesWe clean new finishes in line with their condition and the care information supplied. Tell us about fresh paint, sealants and newly fitted floors before the appointment. A finish that is still curing may need to wait; we explain this before cleaning that area or tackling a mark on it.
Other trades on siteWe plan the clean around the building work that remains. Sanding, cutting and decorating can leave fresh dust in a room after it has been cleaned. We discuss which rooms are finished, which are still being used by trades and whether the final clean should wait until their work ends.
Waste left in the roomsWe clean the dusty rooms and surfaces listed for the appointment and explain separately any waste clearance that is needed. Rubble, stored boards and other large leftovers can hide the floor. Knowing what will be removed beforehand lets us plan the floor cleaning and reach the fittings around it.

HOW WE CLEAN

How we remove dust after building work.

After Builders Cleaning — surface detail
The cleaning stages for your rooms
StageWhat we do
Check the completed workWe begin with the building work completed and the rooms affected by it. We note dusty ledges, fittings, floors and visible marks that need attention. Tell us where trades are still working, so the cleaning can follow the finished rooms and we can explain any area that is not ready yet.
Work through the room listWe work through the renovated rooms and neighbouring areas included in your quote, cleaning their fittings, doors, ledges and floors. We check which surfaces are clear and explain any part still covered by materials or furniture, or behind a locked door, so you know what can be cleaned during the visit.
Construction dustWe remove dust that has settled on the included ledges and fittings. We attend to the edges and smaller details around those surfaces as well as the obvious dusty areas. This work follows the room list, including spaces outside the main project that were affected by dust.
Rooms & floorsWe clean the listed kitchen and bathroom surfaces and work through the floor areas after the building work is complete. We take account of the flooring and recently fitted finishes, using the care information supplied for those materials rather than treating every room as having the same finish.
ResiduesWe check visible residue before deciding how to approach the mark. The type of deposit, the surface below it and any new coating all matter. We explain which marks can be tackled during the cleaning and which need further information from the builder or installer first.
Look after the finishWe distinguish removable dirt from chips, scratches, worn finishes and incomplete building work. Cleaning the surface does not mend those defects. If a new finish is not ready to clean or a mark needs a different response, we explain the affected item and continue with the other included cleaning where practical.
Check the cleaned roomsWe check the work against the rooms, fittings and floor areas in your cleaning list. We explain anything that remained covered, locked or unfinished, and discuss a mark that needs further attention. The final conversation refers to the specific item, so you know which rooms were cleaned and what remains to be arranged.

APPOINTMENT PLANNING

Getting your appointment ready.

Details for a useful cleaning quote
Before the visitWhat we need to know
Work finished and rooms affectedTell us whether the project was a kitchen refit, bathroom renovation or work across several rooms. We use that information to plan the dust removal and room cleaning. Include adjoining spaces that collected dust, extra fittings needing attention and any building jobs that will still be under way on the proposed day.
Photos and care instructionsWe use wide room photos to see the floors, fittings and furniture, with close-ups for concentrated dust or building marks. Send the care instructions for new flooring, worktops or paint where available. We can then discuss the dirty area and its finish together, including parts hidden in a close-up photograph.
Keys and clear roomsWe confirm how the team will get into the property and reach each room to clean. Mention stairs, separate keys and stored materials blocking floors or fittings. If the builder or another keyholder is opening up, provide their details and confirm which rooms will be clear when the appointment starts.
Date and finishing timeWe discuss your preferred date alongside the builder’s finishing date and when the rooms are needed again. Tell us about furniture deliveries or a fixed property handover. We confirm the appointment once timing and entry are arranged, and ask you to update us if the building work runs late.
Extra rooms or later changesLet us know if another room needs cleaning, more residue is uncovered or materials will remain where the floor was expected to be clear. We discuss the changed work and any effect on the quote before the appointment. This lets us plan the cleaning around the rooms as they will be on the day.

After Builders Cleaning — property and access
Cleaning for different sizes of building project
Your projectThe cleaning we plan
One renovated roomFor one renovated room, we concentrate on its settled dust, fittings, surfaces and floor. We include the ledges and edges listed for that room and check visible marks against the new finish. If dust has reached the hallway or an adjoining room, tell us before booking so those areas can be added to the cleaning rather than left outside the room list.
Several completed roomsFor work across several rooms, we clean the listed kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces and floor areas after the trades finish. We account for the different fittings and finishes in each space and the dust along the routes between them. The quote describes the full room list, including any extra residue work discussed, so a larger project is planned as a whole.
Cleaning before a handoverWhen the rooms are needed by a set date, we discuss the builder’s finish, remaining waste and how the property will be opened. We plan the cleaning of completed rooms around that timing. Building waste clearance and repairs remain separate jobs, so tell us who is handling them and whether any materials or unfinished fittings will still affect the clean.

SERVICE QUESTIONS

Questions about after builders cleaning.

After Builders Cleaning — practical questions
QuestionAnswer
Do you clean rooms outside the area where the builders worked?Tell us which neighbouring rooms collected dust and we can include them in the quote. A kitchen refit can leave dusty ledges or floors elsewhere, so list those rooms rather than booking only the kitchen and discovering the extra work on the day.
Can you clean freshly painted surfaces? We need the decorator’s care information and when the paint was finished. Some surfaces may not be ready for cleaning yet. We discuss those areas before the appointment and explain what can be cleaned without treating fresh paint as an older, fully finished surface.
Can I book while the builders are still on site?Tell us what work remains and which rooms are complete. We can discuss the timing of the clean, but further sanding, cutting or decorating can leave fresh dust in areas already cleaned. A final whole-property clean needs to be planned around that remaining work.
Should protective coverings be removed before you arrive?Tell us what protection is still fitted and ask the builder or installer who should remove it. We need to know which floors and surfaces will be uncovered for cleaning. Removal of unfamiliar protection should be discussed before it is treated as part of the appointment.
What photos help you price an after-builders clean?Send wide views of each room with close-ups of dust build-up, paint or adhesive marks. Include materials and furniture that will stay, plus details of new finishes. Those pictures let us see both the cleaning needed and the parts of the room that will be clear.
Will you remove building rubble or repair renovation damage?Waste clearance and repairs must be listed separately. Tell us about rubble, leftover building materials or damage when requesting the clean. Removing dirt from completed rooms is different from taking away large waste or repairing a fitting, and your quote needs to distinguish those jobs.
