Ordinary dirt
We clean reachable glass to address the surface dirt present. A wider view and close photograph can help explain a particular dirty patch.
Decorating marks
Show paint or adhesive marks when booking, including the glass underneath. We can then explain what removal may be possible and whether it costs extra.
Applied films
Tell us about any film on the glass and share its cleaning instructions. We check the film and condition before working on those windows.
Coated or textured glass
Show the finish and care information. Different panes in the same room may not tolerate identical treatment.
Scratches
A scratch is glass damage rather than ordinary dirt. Cleaning does not polish out a damaged surface or replace the pane.
Internal misting
Moisture or marks between sealed panes are not on the reachable surface. Cleaning does not repair or open a failed sealed unit.

Deal with ornaments and other loose possessions near the panes. Identify anything that must remain untouched so the available glass is clear.
Heavy furniture
Arrange necessary heavy movement separately. The cleaner should not have to disconnect equipment or reorganise a room to expose hidden glass.
Keys and entrances
Give the property, entry contact and necessary keys. Mention locked rooms, side gates or managed entrances affecting the requested windows.
The sides wanted
List inside, outside or both for the openings. A mixed request is easier to understand when each room or elevation is named.
Current photographs
Show the present glass and surroundings. Update the information if furniture, scaffolding or building work changes the situation before the visit.
Known faults
Report stiff handles, missing keys, damaged seals and fragile finishes. Cleaning is different from repairing an opening or forcing a defective mechanism.

Can I send a photograph showing the whole building side?
Yes. A whole-side photo shows the window heights and surroundings; add close-ups for particular marks or finishes.
Do I need to mention old paint on timber frames?
Yes. Point out old or flaking paint so we know where the frame finish is fragile or already damaged.
Do I need to mention building work planned just before window cleaning?
Yes. Tell us what work is planned and when it ends, as the glass may collect fresh dirt before the visit.
My outside pane was blocked all day; what work was possible?
We can explain which panes were cleaned. Glass blocked throughout the visit cannot be cleaned until the obstruction is removed.
Do I need to tell you an outside pane belongs to shared building space?
Yes. Check who can authorise cleaning the shared pane and arrange any keys or permission needed to reach it.
