We clean the fabric on dining or office chairs, including the seats and upholstered backs you want listed in the quotation for your furniture. Tell us about loose seams, trim or damaged fabric before we work around those parts of the furniture.

What we clean
Sofas
We clean fabric sofas and look at the marks you want treated. Tell us how many seats the sofa has and whether it includes a corner or chaise section.
Armchairs
We clean fabric armchairs, including the seat, back and arms you want treated. We check the covering on each chair, even when it matches the sofa. A care label and a photograph help us price the right piece.
Corner sofas
We clean corner sofas, including the seats, back cushions and chaise section you want included. Send a photograph of the full layout so the quote covers the whole piece.
Footstools
We clean upholstered footstools alongside sofas and chairs when they are booked together. The top and sides may have different fabrics or wear, so we look at the whole piece. Include its approximate size when asking for a price.
Other upholstered items
Tell us about any other fabric furniture you want cleaned alongside the sofa. Send a photograph and the care label for each piece so we can check the covering and discuss the price.
Dining chairs
We clean upholstered dining chairs as individual pieces. Let us know whether you want just the seats or the fabric backs cleaned too. Tell us how many chairs there are and show any differences between their coverings.
Chaise sections
We clean fabric chaise sections as part of a sofa when they are included in the booking. A chaise is longer than an ordinary seat, so a photograph helps show its size and how it joins the rest of the furniture.

What we check
Why it matters
Care labels
Share a photograph of the care label where one is available. It can help identify the covering and its care instructions. We also look at the actual condition of the furniture.
Mixed fabrics
Some furniture combines different fabrics, trims or finishes. Show us the whole piece and the different materials. We check how each part needs to be cleaned before starting on the furniture.
Loose cushions
Tell us whether cushions are loose or attached. A cushion that lifts off does not necessarily have a removable or washable cover. We check its construction before discussing the cleaning.

Why it matters
Worn fabric
Point out thinning fabric, loose seams or worn patches before the visit. Cleaning cannot replace missing fabric or repair stitching, so we explain what may improve and what will remain.
Earlier treatment
Let us know if the upholstery has been cleaned or protected before, especially where a mark has already been treated. Tell us what product was used if you know.

Mark or area
What to know
Food and drink
Send a photograph of food or drink marks and the surrounding fabric. We look at the stain alongside the covering. Complete stain removal is not something we can promise for every item.
Well-used seats
We work on dirt in the seats and back cushions, including the places used most often. The fabric may also have flattened or worn with use. We explain the difference so you know what cleaning can reasonably change.
Arms and edges
We clean the fabric arms and edges you have asked us to include, paying attention to areas touched most often. We look at the dirt and fabric condition together, particularly where repeated use has left both marks and wear.
Hidden marks
If moving a cushion reveals an old mark, mention it before the appointment. A photograph can help us discuss the problem, including whether the fabric has changed colour or been damaged.
Unknown stains
You do not need to guess what caused a mark. Tell us what you know and whether anything has already been applied. We will look at the fabric before discussing treatment.
Marks on back cushions
We look at marks on the back cushions as well as the seats. Please point out hair-product marks, food spills or other areas you want treated. We check the fabric before deciding how to work on the stain.

What happens
Confirming the items
We check the furniture you have asked us to clean. Show us any extra chairs, cushions or other pieces you want cleaned too, so we can discuss them before starting.
Looking at the fabric
We check the care label, marks and any damage before cleaning. If a covering needs particular care, we explain how that affects the work on your sofa or chair.
Cleaning the pieces
We clean the furniture and marks included in the booking, taking care of each covering as we work. Extra pieces can be added after we have explained the cleaning and price.
Working around the item
Tell us how much room there is around large furniture. We need to know which sides can be reached. Moving a heavy sofa through the home is not automatically included.
Checking the finish
After cleaning, we look at the furniture with you and explain any marks that remain. Worn fabric, damaged padding and lost colour need different work and are not repaired by cleaning.
Loose and fixed cushions
We clean the cushions included with the furniture, checking which are loose and which are attached. Tell us about extra scatter cushions so the item list covers those pieces too.

How you can help
Small belongings
Let us know what will remain on and around the furniture. Clearing personal belongings makes the item easier to reach without asking the cleaner to sort or move your possessions.
Large pieces
Describe large sofas and other items that will stay in place. Tell us about any side pressed against a wall or fixed fitting. We can then discuss the fabric that can be reached.
Photographs
Send an overall photograph of each piece as well as close views of labels and marks. A close-up alone may not show the size or shape of the furniture you want cleaned.
The right entrance
Give the postcode and any flat or unit number. Let us know who will open the door. A shared building may contain several homes, so we need the details for yours.
Room use
Tell us when the furniture will be needed again. Drying depends on the fabric, cleaning and conditions in the room. We do not give one guaranteed drying time for every piece.

Sofa and armchair cleaning prices
Published starting prices for fabric upholstery
Item
Starting price and details
Armchair
An armchair starts from £32. Tell us about its fabric and condition, and include a photograph. The quote needs to identify the chair you want cleaned and any other pieces in the booking.
Price per seat
Upholstery cleaning starts from £33 per seat. Count the seats and send a photograph of the whole sofa. This helps us see any corner, chaise section or extra cushions, then explain the total for the furniture you want cleaned.
Two-seat sofa
A two-seat sofa starts from £66. If you also want an armchair or footstool cleaned, list it separately. We will discuss the total for the furniture you need.
L-shaped sofa
An L-shaped three-seat sofa starts from £132. Send a photograph of its layout so we can see the sections. A different sofa shape should be described as it is.
Minimum booking
The minimum booking for fabric upholstery cleaning is £68. Ask about the complete furniture list when enquiring. Leather cleaning, repairs and protection are separate services and should be mentioned if needed.
Leather furniture has its own cleaning service. Tell us if a piece is leather or combines leather with fabric. Cleaning does not include recolouring leather or repairing a worn finish.
Fabric protection
If you want fabric protection as well as cleaning, ask before the appointment. It needs to suit the covering and is priced separately unless included in your quote. It cannot prevent every possible stain.
Curtains and mattresses
Tell us if curtains or mattresses also need cleaning. We offer separate services for them and can discuss the different items together. List what you need so the quote includes the right cleaning.
Rugs and carpets
You can ask about rug or carpet cleaning alongside furniture cleaning. Give details for each item or room. We will distinguish the different textiles and explain what is included in the quote.
Furniture repairs
Broken frames, torn covers and damaged cushions need separate attention. Let us know about them when asking for cleaning. A cleaning visit does not include reupholstery or replacement furniture parts.

After cleaning
What to expect
Drying
Ask us about using the furniture after cleaning, especially if it is needed at a particular time. Fabric types and room conditions differ, so the same drying estimate does not suit every item.
Marks that remain
Some marks and areas of wear may remain visible. We explain what we find on the particular piece. A stubborn stain does not mean the covering can withstand any stronger treatment.
Colour changes
Cleaning does not replace colour that has already been lost from the fabric. We distinguish fading or damage from removable dirt so you have a realistic idea of the finished appearance.
Checking individual pieces
We check the individual sofas, chairs and cushions after cleaning. If you have a question, show us the particular piece and the mark that concerns you. We can then explain any stain, wear or damage that is still visible.
Getting in touch
Call or send a current photograph if you want to discuss something afterwards. Tell us which part of the furniture it shows, so we can talk about the actual piece and its condition.
YOUR QUESTIONS
Questions about upholstery cleaning in Plumstead
Your upholstery cleaning questions
Question
Answer
Does corner-sofa cleaning include separating modules?
Tell us how the sections connect when booking. Please discuss any separating or moving needed before the appointment.
Should delicate footstool trim be photographed?
Yes. Show loose buttons, fringing or damaged piping before we work around those areas.
Can all natural-fibre upholstery be cleaned the same way?
No. We still check the fabric, dyes and instructions before cleaning natural-fibre upholstery.
Can pet stains permanently change upholstery colour?
Yes. Pet stains can change the dye; cleaning cannot put back colour that has been lost.
Can a leather-and-fabric sofa need separate treatment?
Yes. Show both materials so we can check how each part should be cleaned.
