We dust and wipe the surfaces you want cleaned, including shelves and other places we can reach without moving your personal belongings. Explain which shelves will be clear for dusting and which books or personal items should stay untouched.

Domestic Cleaning
Care for your finishes
A few details that help protect the surfaces
Finish
What to tell us
Wood and treated flooring
Pass on any care instructions for timber or recently treated floors. Routine dirt removal is different from sanding or refinishing. Mention damaged joints or lifting edges before the visit so the cleaner knows about those areas.
Stone and coated surfaces
Tell us the material if known, especially on kitchen worktops and bathroom fittings. Different finishes can need different care. Scrubbing harder or adding a stronger product is not automatically the answer to a difficult mark.
Wear and lasting marks
Show scratches, worn coatings or permanent colour changes before the cleaning. Removing everyday dirt does not repair that damage. We do not want you expecting an old finish to look newly restored after an ordinary household visit.

What helps
Clear the surfaces
Put away food containers, toiletries and other items covering the areas you want cleaned. You do not need to empty the home. Clearing worktops and furniture tops lets us clean underneath your everyday belongings.
Fragile items and valuables
Tell us which valuables or fragile objects must not be moved. Keep private drawers closed. We can clean the surrounding surfaces while leaving those belongings in place.
Rooms still in use
Tell us which rooms will be free first and which need to stay in use. A locked or occupied room cannot be cleaned until it is available, so discuss those timings before relying on the room being included.
Opening the door
Let us know who will open the door for the cleaner. If someone else is letting us in, give them the room list and any important care instructions before the appointment.
Domestic Cleaning
Extra cleaning you can request
Appliances, carpets and furniture
Addition
What to include in the enquiry
Oven or fridge interior
Name the appliance and inside parts wanted, with its type and photographs of the dirt if helpful. Interior cleaning is separate from wiping an appliance front during ordinary kitchen cleaning and should be clear in the price.
Carpet treatment
Give the carpeted rooms, approximate dimensions and material if known when requesting a separate carpet clean. Show any marks needing attention. This is different from ordinary vacuuming of the available floor during the domestic visit.
Sofas and chairs
List each furniture piece you want treated, along with the covering and marks if known. Ordinary dusting around the furniture does not clean its fabric. Upholstery treatment needs to be requested and priced as an addition.
Deeper room cleaning
Tell us about heavy grease, bathroom residue or dust that has built up beyond ordinary upkeep. Extra time or a deep clean may be more appropriate for those areas than fitting every additional task into a routine visit.

Price detail
What to expect
Hourly price
Domestic cleaning starts from £23 per hour. It is an hourly starting amount, not a fixed whole-house price. Tell us the rooms and tasks you need, and how much cleaning is needed. We can then explain the time and price.
Your priorities
Tell us if the kitchen, bathroom or another room needs most attention. The time can be discussed around those tasks. A well-maintained spare room need not receive the same amount of work as a busy kitchen.
Added tasks
Discuss another room or extra treatment before the visit if possible. More work may need more time or a change to the earlier priorities. Check that appliance interiors and fabric treatments you want appear in the quotation.
After cleaning
Look over the rooms and tasks you asked for, and raise any particular concern directly. Tell us about changed needs before the next visit, such as a newly used bedroom or a bathroom needing more attention than previously.
Should I send care instructions for recently treated timber flooring?
Yes. Send instructions for the current timber finish before the floor-cleaning appointment.
Can I explain my priorities in a short message before booking?
Send the room names and main cleaning tasks in your message, with any extra treatments listed separately.
Can a footstool be included with extra furniture cleaning?
Add the footstool to your fabric-cleaning list and send its covering details and photos of marks.
Can the kitchen’s condition affect the total household price?
Yes. Built-up dirt and added kitchen tasks can affect the time needed, as well as the number of rooms.
Can the counter behind everyday containers be cleaned?
Move the containers off the counter section you want cleaned and put them in their chosen places first.
