Surface concern
What to know
Delicate coatings
Some desks, counters and floors need gentler cleaning. Share any supplier instructions for their finishes before the visit, particularly if a surface has a special coating or has recently been treated.
Wear and damage
Point out scratches, damaged coatings and loose fittings before we start. Cleaning removes dirt but does not repair those problems. A worn or scratched finish may still show after it has been cleaned.
New surfaces
Tell us about recently fitted furniture, new flooring or another surface with readiness instructions. Pass on the supplier’s guidance before cleaning. The new finish may need care different from the established materials beside it in the same workplace.

What to arrange
Frequency
Daily, weekly and other agreed frequencies are available to discuss. Explain how the rooms and staff facilities are used and which need most attention. A busy kitchen may need different upkeep from an occasionally used meeting room in the office.
People working
Tell us when the rooms and desks will be free for cleaning. Put away confidential papers and personal work materials from the surfaces you want wiped. We can discuss visits around the times your staff use the office.
Getting in
Agree who will admit the cleaner and make the appointment known to that person. Give any important room or care instructions before the visit, particularly where a reception team or building contact is opening the door on the business’s behalf.
Initial extra work
Show any built-up dirt when arranging the first clean. An office that has fallen behind ordinary upkeep may need additional attention initially. That work and the later recurring service can be discussed and quoted separately for the actual rooms involved.

Office-cleaning quotations and additions
A price for the premises and work you need
Price or addition
Details to give us
Office quotation
Office cleaning is quoted for the premises, tasks and frequency wanted. Give the approximate floor area, number of workstations, kitchens and washrooms, with photographs of the current condition if helpful. A household hourly starting amount is not an office price.
Additional carpet treatment
A separate carpet clean can address rooms needing more than ordinary vacuuming. Give their sizes, material if known and photographs of the marks. The treatment is priced as additional work and can have drying advice relevant to the actual carpet.
Window cleaning
List the office windows and say whether you want the inside, outside or both cleaned. Send photographs of upper-floor or hard-to-reach windows so we can discuss the work and give you a separate price.
Upholstered furniture
List any sofas or chairs wanted for upholstery cleaning, with their coverings and particular marks if known. Fabric treatment is different from cleaning the surrounding furniture and floor, so those items should be included separately in the office quotation.
Should we show existing wear on meeting tables before cleaning?
Yes. Point out the worn finish so the cleaner knows those marks are already there.
Can a known washroom fault be mentioned before the cleaner arrives?
Yes. Describe the fault before the appointment so we know about it while cleaning nearby surfaces.
Do you open computers when cleaning the office?
No. Opening computers or maintaining technical equipment is different work from cleaning the room around them.
Is washing up included in our office-kitchen clean?
Ask about washing-up when arranging the quotation; do not leave it implied by worktop wiping.
Can a preferred cleaning day be included with a quote request?
Yes. Give your preferred day and when rooms are free; the appointment still needs confirming.
